An amazing example of the celebrations of our Order’s 900th Anniversary in 1948.
In 1948 the Ancient & Illustrious Order of Knights of Malta planned their 900th Anniversary. The plans to mark this incredible milestone, actually began almost 20 years earlier as it was first noted in the 1920s that in a generation they would reach that point.
Here we have well preserved souvenir programme from the state of Ohio whose grand Commandery established a 900th Anniversary Committee to plan events to mark the occasion.
