The annual Great Cross Priory of Ireland Reformers Service and parade was held in Ballinagarvey Orange Hall on Sunday 4 September.
The speaker was Mr Jonathan Storey who is about to be ordained into the ministry of the Free Presbyterian Church.

The weather was kind and the short parade was enjoyed by local residents in the area as it made its way to the service.

The service marks the sacrifice of the early Reformers and especially the part played by the Knights of Malta under their Grand Commander Sir James Sandilands, Lord St. John a faithful friend and supporter of John Knox.

Knox was supported by a circle of Protestant nobles who were able to provide military support to the Protestant cause as it literally had to fight to establish itself.

The message began by looking at the mention of the island of Malta in Scripture and focused on the life and witness of the apostle Paul. The Knights, band members and congregation were also treated to soloist Elizabeth Wilson.
The parade returned after the service and the Priory used the retiring offering to support this years charity, Helping `Hands a charity which provides support for sick children.
