This morning a delegation of Knights of Malta met with a number of MLAs and political advisors to raise their concerns about a number of legislative issues which impact on us all.
While we welcome a return of local accountable government our concerns about the cost in terms of concessions around Irish language remain.
It is clearly an issue which is opposed by the majority of the community we draw our membership from and is a lever to further pry us culturally and actually from the Union.
Whilst remaining above party politics we must act as watchmen on the walls on such issues and as guardians of our Protestant heritage.
These along with the rights of the unborn and concerns about accountability in the wake of the RHI Scandal were on the table.
Having an opportunity to met and speak with those who govern our country is a privilege and a responsibility. We trust that our words will effect real change.
